introduction

I am Linda and I teach first grade. We have a population of children that are over 50% poverty and the children come to first grade at all levels of ability. I have been teaching 30 years and I am always looking for the best way to teach each child. I did some research on Howard Gardner's theory when I was working on my masters. I need to refresh what I learned and I am looking forward to reading and discussing Thomas Armstrong's book.

My name is Sue Russo. I teach Family and Consumer Education at Durand Junior Senior High School. Currently, I teach a comprehensive Family and Consumer class/ Health to 7th and 8th graders. This semester I will be teaching Child Development, Eating for Health, Food Preparation, and Advanced Foods. More than likely I will be teaching a class for the cognitive disabilities students related to life skills. With a wide variety of students, I'm always concerned if my learning experiences are meeting their needs for them to be successful. Even after 32 years of teaching, I am still learning and I am interested in gaining more knowledge about multiple intelligences. I want to be creative with my lesson plans and use a wide variety of learning experiences.
